Trần Nghi Âu Cơ

(Con gái của TTBG, Âu Cơ sinh ngày 9 tháng 10/1987 tại San Jose, California. Được nuôi dạy trong tình thương đơn độc của mẹ và một bầu không khí đầy tính nghệ thuật, âm nhạc, văn chương, em làm thơ và viết văn rất sớm. Bản thảo của một tập thơ, văn dầy bằng Anh ngữ được thành hình khi em chưa đầy 12 tuổi. Những bài thơ, các bản văn xuôi với lối viết gọn ghẽ, ý tưởng mạch lạc được giới thiệu trong diễn đàn này là trích ra từ đó. Em nói tiếng Việt rất sõi, nên phần Việt ngữ cũng do chính em tự chuyển, nhờ mẹ em viết xuống giùm. Em hiện 17 tuổi, học lớp 12 tại trường trung học Pioneer ở San Jose, California.)

Life is like a one way street
Always obligated to go forward
There are no U-turns,
No stopping and asking for directions

The road behind us will leave
Disappointments and questions
One small turn
Can shape the rest of our lives

The past can be a regret
Seeing all the turns
We could have made
Lives we could have changed

If we turned right
Where would we be now?
If we turned left
Where would it have led us?

The opportunities, choices
The turns and exits
All faded into the sea of the
Memories and past

If the road ahead
Becomes hazy and blurry
Who could we turn to for help?
Where would we find shelter?

If we had made a wrong turn
Where and who would our savior be?
If we got lost
Who would hand us a map and lend us a hand?

After a journey of hardships and pain
Though possibly also success and happiness
No matter what we endure
Always remember

That was the past,
That was the long road behind us
All that matters now is the road ahead
Everything else was just memories

Because soon,
That one way street
Will turn onto
The driveway of our home

Where family, love and comfort awaits
Where forgiveness is everywhere
